Jack Thinnes recounts how he grew up and the experiences that made him the determined person that he is. He writes these stories as he presented them to his friends and family on the front porch of his historic 1840 home on Kelleys Island. Each story shows how unexpected coincidences and “Godwinks” can change your life for the better. His late wife, Mary Ellen, describes his life as an “enchanted life”.
 
After promising his wife before her death, Jack showcases stories full of life and love. These stories really happened, but they seem so unlikely that many people have asked him if they were really true. They all are, and even he is shocked by the reality of them.
 
He continues to tell all who will listen all of his stories on his front porch and hopes you get the same enjoyment from reading them as he did in writing them down.
