Services and fees
We have been
representing and marketing authors and books since 1997. As a division of
PSA Consulting Inc., Cincinnati Book Publishing handles the company's
literary clients and book projects.
Cincinnati Book
Publishing is able to provide your book and career with knowledgeable
attention to detail. We work on a project cost basis or hourly fee rate.
Cincinnati Book Publishing will also consider your book project as a
percentage based literary agent relationship.

consultation. A $1,500 retainer will be required to begin work on your

individual authors
Authors select from
the following services and are billed accordingly. Estimates or actual
bids (with options) will be given clients in advance of contract
signing:

and re-writing
- Editing (all
manuscripts accepted for publication must go through our copy
editors)
- Photography and
illustration
- Graphic design for
cover and text
- Bar code and ISBN
- Printing and
binding
- Custom leather
binding, embossing, and gold stamping
- Publicity - press
releases, feature stories arranged
- Special events -
book launch parties at appropriate venues and autograph sessions at
bookstores
- Speaking
engagements at literary, historical, and community organizations
- Direct mail
brochures, order cards, event invitations
- Print and
electronic advertisements
- Fulfillment of
orders from direct mail and advertisements
- Placement and
restocking of books with local and national booksellers
- Accounting,
billing, and inventory control

clients
- Project planning
and development
- Definition of book
format and length
- Grant writing or
fundraising for non-profit ventures
- Research, oral
history interviews, photography and illustration selection, and text
writing by Cincinnati Book Publishing staff or strategic partners. (Or
we will conduct an author search and negotiate contracts for these
services. We can also work with your organization's historian.)
- Copy editing,
design, printing, marketing, fulfillment, and accounting services as
above.
